Our Bowling Green is currently closed for the 2023/2024 winter

We are an active lawn bowling club to the South West of York and have around 40 members playing in men's, ladies and mixed leagues on one of the finest bowling surfaces in the York area. As well as the competitive local York leagues we also have social games during the season.

Our Green Opening for new 2024 season will be towards the end of April; details will be posted closer to the time. Once the green opens then visitors will be welcome to come along and have a go. This is usually a week after our coffee morning which will be advertised on this site closer to the time.  

We also have 'Come and Try' days for non-members to try at bowling throughout the summer season every Tuesday and Thursday from mid-day to 2:00pm. No previous experience is necessary, just wear a pair of flat shoes or trainers to protect the green. Bowls will be provided as well as tuition and support where needed.
